I recently bought an AMD CPU and motherboard combo at 11500 INR. In my hostel there were about 200 Intel CPUs and more than 10 Core 2 duos. Mine is AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+ and it outperforms its Intel counterpart Core 2 duo E 6300 in performance. In every aspect, my Processor outperforms in gaming, Photoshop, and many other win 32 applications.
In fact, the price of my processor and motherboard was 11500 INR and that of Core 2 duo E6300 was 12500 and still AMD outperforms. This clearly shows the performance of AMD CPUs and low priced Processors are much better.
